DESCRIPTION
Full-time pediatrician who is dedicated to providing long-term care and ensuring continuity of care needed for family medicine department. The health center may provide relocation expenses.DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITES
- Provide primary medical care to include: newborn and well baby care, adolescent physicals, chronic disease management, and immunizations.
- Provide in-patient care to include newborn assessments and general acute care at Lenoir Memorial Hospital in Kinston, NC
- Promote preventative care and health maintenance through individual counseling during consultations
- Make appropriate referrals to required specialist services and conduct proper follow-up to assure that continuity of care is provided
- Demonstrate proficiency in the utilization of the Electronic Health Record and provide timely completion and maintenance of patient charts as per the Center's policies and procedures
- Attend all medical staff meetings and participate in the health center's performance improvement program
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduation from an accredited medical school with a degree of Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy
- Completion of an approved residency program in pediatrics
- Board certified or Board eligible
- License to practice medicine in the state of North Carolina
- BLS & PALS certification preferred
