DESCRIPTION
Compassionate and energetic OB-GYN physician needed to provide comprehensive women's health care in a blooming and high-need patient setting. The new physician will join as a full-time employee.DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITES
- Provide inpatient and outpatient obstetrical and gynecological medical and surgical care including: colposcopy, laparoscopic surgery, menopause management, and family planning
- Arrange for the admission of obstetrics and gynecology patients to Lenoir Memorial Hospital in Kinston, NC
- Provide inpatient care on a rotational basis with other OB-GYN physicians and certified nurse midwives
- Demonstrate proficiency in the utilization of the Electronic Health Record and provide timely completion and maintenance of patient charts as per the Center's policies and procedures
- Make appropriate referrals to required specialist services and conduct proper follow-up to assure that continuity of care is provided
- Attend all medical staff meetings and participate in the health center's performance improvement program
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduation from an accredited medical school with a degree of Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy
- Completion of an approved residency program in obstetrics and gynecology
- Board certified or Board eligible
- License to practice medicine in the state of North Carolina
